80th anniversary of the liberation of Dachau concentration camp

The central commemorative ceremony of the 80^th anniversary of the liberation of Dachau concentration camp will take place on Sunday, 4^th May 2025.

We ask for your understanding that Dachau Memorial Site will be closed to the general public on this day: Due to the anniversary events, all the buildings on-site as well as large outdoor sections of the memorial site will not be accessible to the public.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on Bavarian television and on a large screen on the former roll call square on the grounds of Dachau Memorial Site. If you wish to follow the ceremony on-site on the screen, please allow sufficient time for the security checks at the entrances.

Media accreditation for the central commemoration ceremony will start at the beginning of April 2025.
